Rick Hardin, Organizational Development Consultant

Rick Hardin is a results-oriented change leadership advisor with over 30 years of Executive Leadership, Organization Design, Culture Change and Executive Coaching experience serving clients.  His work has spanned several industries including Professional Services, Health Care, Law, Insurance, Manufacturing, and Hi-Tech.

Rick has extensive experience providing innovative, strategic thought leadership for executive leaders and executive teams.  He has led several major organization design efforts at the enterprise, divisional and functional levels.  He has worked very closely as a coach/advisor with individual CEOs and CXO’s has been a counselor to numerous senior  teams , and has led Business Transformation efforts including multi-functional and multi-site teams.

 

  • Rick has recently been coaching several senior executives, he has helped leaders translate leadership values and principles into practical step they undertake for professional growth.

  • He co-led a significant on-going cultural change effort as part of larger Business Transformation effort to address major business performance and product delivery issues.

  • For a major Global Professional Services Firm he counseled the Global Business President through a Transformational change, organization re-design, re-configuration and development of a new senior team.  He also coached the CHRO as well as several senior team executives as part of this process.

  • For an iconic recreational vehicle manufacturer, he led the Business Transformation, Organization redesign & Cultural change component of a business and technology transformation over a three-year period.

  • For a global luxury retailer, he supported the finance group in a change process to implement ERP, with associated process complexities cutting across regions, countries, business units and functions. The Finance team adopted a new governance model and more focused decision process as outcomes of this work.

  • Rick has recently been coaching several senior executives, he has helped leaders translate leadership values and principles into practical step they undertake for professional growth.

  • For a global Mental Health & Services Not-for-Profit (12,000 associates) – He led their CEO Succession process (founder) and subsequent CXO succession planning in support of a new 5 year strategic plan.

 

A graduate of University of California Santa Cruz with a B.S. in Education, Rick completed his Masters and Doctorate in Organizational Behavior at Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.  He served for several years as a Board member of the Organization Design Forum.   He is certified in a variety of leadership/ coaching tools including OW – Power Systems Organization Workshop, Hogan, Human Synergistics, MBTI, and Strength-Finder.  He has been a presenter at various leading conferences and events including Chair Organization Design Forum Digital Organization Design Conference, European IT Strategy Consortia, SIOP Global Conference, NACD and Conference Board events.  Married with five grown children and five grand-children, Rick currently resides in Brookfield, CT.
