Andrea Burleson, Talent Strategist
Andrea Burleson is a consultant, leadership coach and facilitator. She specializes in helping companies achieve organizational goals by elevating its people’s capabilities.
As a behavioral sciences expert, Andrea assists clients with individual and team assessment, leadership coaching and development, and team building. She works with organizations in many different industries ranging from boutique firms to Fortune 500 companies, delivering targeted solutions customized to increase employee engagement and productivity.
Prior to joining PerformancePoint Andrea worked in consulting and talent management positions in diverse industries. At Exelon Nuclear, United Airlines, and Square D Company, she was responsible for performance management and succession planning, employee selection and assessment/coaching of high potentials. At United, Andrea led the redesign and implementation of a new performance management system and process. She was later invited to present this work at various conferences.
As a consultant, Andrea has assessed leaders and teams for selection and development, designed competency-based selection systems, designed and implemented organizational and customer satisfaction surveys, and facilitated team effectiveness meetings. One of her proudest accomplishments as a consultant includes leading a team development process for the site leadership team at a nuclear power plant that contributed to achievement of its first Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) 1 rating. Some of her past clients include McDonald's Corporation, Entergy Nuclear, TVA, Millstone Power Station, Con Agra, United Airlines, Parker Hannifin, Motorola, and HCSC Blue Cross Blue Shield.
In addition to management development and consulting roles, Andrea has held academic positions, teaching courses in cognitive abilities testing, Industrial / Organization Psychology, and Group Dynamics for DePaul University. She designed education courses for online universities, and she designed and led a course in career planning at Roosevelt University where she also taught Organizational Behavior and Organizational Development.
Andrea is a member of the American Psychological Association and International Coach Federation. She earned her Certified Professional Coach designation through the College of Executive Coaching.
She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from DePaul University in Chicago, IL and her B.A. in Psychology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX.
